Darulshifa
دارلشفأ In Arabic,Urdu, Turkish and Persian Means "The Door To Health" it was founded in 1591 AD more than 400 years ago by Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah( The founder of hyderabad city ).
The area got this name for the Hospital built by Sultan Quli Qutub Shah 400 Hundred years ago. Later during Nizams rule due to insufficient space hospital was shifted to other building and the same building was utilized as Gun powder Factory. Currently this building is under Nizams Trust.
Geographically Darushifa lies in the south of Hyderabad city, on the banks of River Musi.It lies under Charminar Assembly Constituency.
Darushifa is connected by buses run by APSRTC. All the RTC buses which head towards Charminar rout thru Darulshifa.
The closest MMTS train station is at dabeerpura.
