Shri M Mukesh Goud has been associated with Congress party for more than 30 years.
It takes more dedication along with people's affection to grow from a common party
worker to peoples beloved minister which is possible by few and he is one of them.
In this long journey starting from APCC Election Committee member to Minister, he
has occupied several important positions in the constituency and the state of Andhra
Pradesh.
He has been elected as Andhra Pradesh Youth Congress General Secretary in 1983.
3 years later, i.e., in 1986 he has been elected as Corporator from Jambagh division
of Maharajgunj assembly constituency and also been as a standing committee member
of MCH. In 1989 elections, from Maharajgunj assembly constituency he was elected
as MLA. During the period of 1991 to 1994, he was appointed as Chairman for AP Urban
Development and Housing Corporation.
In 2004 elections, elected as MLA for the second time from Maharajgunj assembly
constituency. On 26-4-2007, he has taken oath as a Minister for Backward Classes
Welfare in Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy's Cabinet. In 2009 election, elected once
again as MLA for the third time from Goshamahal assembly constituency and also continued
to be the Minister for Backward Classes Welfare in the cabinets of Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara
Reddy, Dr. K. Rosaiah and also in Sri N. Kiran Kumar Reddy. After the cabinet expansion
by Sri N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, he was given charge as the Minister for Marketing and
Warehousing.
