Pan
The action of spinning a photographic camera about its vertical axis. See also point.

PG
A certification from the MPAA showing that a film's material is appropriate for watching by kids, but suggests parental guidance. See also PG-13.

Picture Car
A vehicle proven in a film.

Pipeline
A schedule of movie projects in production.

Point of View
A photographic camera place in which the photographic camera sights what would be noticeable from a particular object's place. The acronym is often used in a slug line.

Post-Production
Work conducted on a film after the end of major photography. Usually includes modifying and visible effects. See also production.

Post-Production Supervisor
A person supervising the entire post-production of a project. They review straight to producer and/or the studio in charge of the feature. Working part by part with the film director and editor, the supervisor has the liability of completing the film on time and on budget while fulfilling the wants of the film director. Post-production supervisors have power over post-production co-ordinators. Common responsibilities include: Managing all activities with providers such as optical houses, sound features, places, ADR, reshooting, CGI, score, distribution requirements to domestic and worldwide suppliers, legal clearances, preview screenings, color moment, video mastering and cost management the film through the achievement and distribution.

Premiere
The first formal public screening of a film, tagging the starting. The occasion is often a occasion event joined by the filmmakers, celebrities, and other celebrities.

Pre-Production
Arrangements made before the begin of shooting. This can consist of program modifying, set construction, place seeking, and casting. See also production.

Prequel
A film that provides the figures and/or activities chronologically before the setting of a previously filmed film. See also series, serial, contrast with sequel.

Presenter
A presenter is person (often popular or well respected) who presents a film or show on display or via voice-over. Some movies consist of a credit rating "Presented by", or "presents", which indicates the person is an executive producer as opposed to someone who seems to be in the film.

Principal Photography
The filming of major or important elements of a film which include lead stars.

Print
A projectable edition of a film, usually made up of one or more fishing reels. When referring to a particular take on a a continual review, "print" indicates that the take should be developed. See also keep.

Production
In the film industry, this term represents the stage of film making during which major photography happens. Famously, however, "production" means the entire film project. See also pre-production and post-production.

Production Designer
An artist responsible for designing the overall visual look of a movie.

Production Manager
Reporting to the film's producer, this person supervises the price range, employs the team, grants purchase orders & time cards, and generally makes sure all departments are doing their specific tasks within the factors of the price range.

Production Report
A daily report of actual improvement in comparison to the production schedule. Includes dope sheets, continuity reports, and call sheets, as well as comprehensive notices regarding on-set events, activities of the throw and team, and details of surprising events. See also lined scrip.

Production Schedule
A specific strategy of the moment of actions associated with the creating of a film, of particular attention to manufacturing supervisors. See also production report.

Projector
A system for showing a baitcasting reel of a film on a display, either for a testing or a back again projector display.

Prompter
A individual who supplies stars with the appropriate lines from the script if they ignore. Factual Movie(s): Minds and hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse (1991)

Prop
Anything an acting professional variations or uses on the set; e.g. mobile phones, weapons, cutlery, etc. Film animals and all meals styling (food seen or consumed on set/screen) also fall into this domain. See also property assistant and set dresser.

Publicity Department
The area of a production's team responsible for advertising a movie. Individual positions within in this department include: unit publicist, advertising assistant, and pictures photographer.

Publicity Director
Person applied by a studio to consider and manage the publicity strategy that reveals a film. In many situations, this individual never even appears to be on the set -- especially if the film is a pick-up and didn't have a launching studio room at enough time it was created. In other situations, this person is regularly on the set and directly manages the initiatives of it publicist.
